A single roll yields roughly 25 usable ft² after trimming and matching. Patterned papers waste more, so we add 15% by default. Buy all rolls from the same batch number for consistent color.
Pattern repeat and roll types
The bigger the pattern repeat, the more you waste aligning strips — large repeats can need 20–30% extra. Wallpaper also comes as American "single/double rolls" and European rolls of different sizes, so always order by the total square footage on the label rather than by roll count alone.
Paste, prep and removal
Some papers are pre-pasted, others need paste applied; "peel-and-stick" is removable and renter-friendly but less forgiving on textured walls. Hang over a smooth, primed wall for the cleanest result, and note the batch number in case you need a matching roll later.
