How to read CTR

Click-through rate is clicks divided by impressions, as a percentage — 2,000 clicks from 100,000 impressions is a 2% CTR. It measures how relevant and appealing your ad, headline or search listing is to the people who see it. Typical CTRs vary widely by channel (search ads often run higher than display), so compare against your own channel rather than a universal number. A rising CTR usually also lowers your cost per click on most ad platforms.

What is a good CTR?

It depends on the channel — search ads commonly see higher CTRs than display or social. Benchmark against your own past campaigns in the same channel.
